Emma Stone heading ‘Into the Woods’?

Actress Emma Stone is reportedly in talks to show off her musical skills in a new movie adaptation of hit stage show Into the Woods.

Director Rob Marshall, who brought Chicago and Nine to the big screen, has signed up to take charge of a movie version of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s hit musical and he is said to have approached The Help star to tackle one of the lead roles.

They were spotted having dinner together in the Big Apple and New York Post gossip column Page Six reports they were talking about Stone’s potential role.

Emma Stone Worried About ‘Spider-Man’ Fans

Emma Stone is concerned fans won’t be satisfied with her performance in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’.

The 23-year-old actress portrays the role of Gwen Stacy in the movie – opposite Andrew Garfield as the titular character – and she admits not everyone is going to be pleased with how she has represented the character.
She said: ”This is 50 years worth of comic book material. There are different incarnations of Gwen, and I realized that you can’t please everybody.
”They’re hoping that you can bring this character to life, in the best way that you know how”.
”I hope that people are satisfied. I know that not everybody will be, and that’s one of those trials of being human, when you learn that not everybody can like you. It is a tough lesson, isn’t it?”
Despite her worries, director Marc Webb admits it was an easy decision to cast Emma – who is best known for roles in ‘Easy A’ and ‘The Help’.
He told Collider.com: ”When we did a screen test, what was great was that Emma brought a level of humor and levity that Andrew really responded to, and there was this immediate sense of lightness in the interaction.”

Emma reveals she didn’t intended to be part of The Amazing Spider Man

In a recent interview, Emma sayd she didn’t really wanted to be part of the cast of The Amazing Spiderman – but changed her mind when she auditioned:

“I heard about Spider-Man and I didn’t think it was something I would want to be a part of. I just thought that probably isn’t right for me. Then I [auditioned with Andrew Garfield] and realised that this was a really interesting, fantastic relationship between two people and that I was being really closed-minded,” she said.

The actress, who wore her naturally blonde hair for the part, went on to discuss how her character finally changed her mind about the film: “[I] started learning more about Gwen Stacy and her history and just fell in love with the character and with the fans, too. I started reading forums and getting involved more in the comic book universe and it just became something I really wanted to be a part of, just because of all those elements.”

What Went On in 2012 WonderCon

Director Marc Webb (“500 Days of Summer”) and star Emma Stone (“The Help”) met with the press at WonderCon in Anaheim on a rainy Saturday to discuss their highly-anticipated Spidey franchise reboot, “The Amazing Spider-Man.”

Confirming that there was a fair amount of improvisation in the film, Emma Stone, spoke about how shooting on digital allowed the cast to have the freedom to take risks with their characters. “It was really kind of exciting to — even at the camera test — he [Webb] was like, ‘Alright, just kind of do what you guys want to do for a little bit.’ We could veer off and find things, and I think that was really incredible, because it brings an authenticity [to the movie].”

Emma Stone: “I Haven’t Worked Out for a Month and I’m Proud of It!”

Like most women, Emma Stone isn’t 100 percent happy with her body.

“I do have that thing of, ‘Oh my God, I’m disgusting! I ate a huge Wagamama lunch, the whole yaki soba, and I feel so fat,’” the 23-year-old tells England’s S Magazine. “But I’m still gonna eat that stuff, and you know what? You can get nice, loose clothes that cover it all up.”

The actress, who’s currently dating her Amazing Spider-Man costar Andrew Garfield, adds: “I’m not gonna go parading around in a bikini. OK, I did that in a photo shoot once, but it’s about what you’re comfortable with at the time you’re comfortable with it. That was a good day, but you won’t hear me saying I have no body issues because I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t.”

While shooting the Oscar-nominated film The Help in 2010, Stone put on a few extra pounds after indulging in Mississippi’s famous comfort foods.

“Suddenly nothing fitted me, but then they have such delicious food in the South and I don’t believe in depriving yourself,” Stone tells S Magazine. “Yes, you should be healthy and take care of yourself, but growing up I’ve seen people who have horrible issues with food.”

Laughs Stone: “I haven’t worked out for a month and I’m proud of it!”

“Running is bad for your knees and I like to do things I actually enjoy, like going for a swim. I had a trainer during Spider-Man and I discovered I have deep-seated rage when I’m holding heavy weights over my head. Whatever dormant anger I have in me, that’s where it comes out. That’s not the kind of working out I want to do,” the actress explains.

“I would much rather sleep at night than want to throw a weight across a room at someone. I’m usually a pretty peaceful person, but for some reason when I get in the gym something bubbles up in me.”
